Chez Dodie is a group of eighteenth century farm buildings, surrounding three sides of a secluded courtyard, which faces south across a small valley. Beyond the ridge of fields opposite, the land drops down to the River Dronne. The house is one of six properties that makes up the hamlet of Ferragut in the Charente region of South West France.
The whitewashed walls, shuttered windows, exposed beams and terracotta and wooden flooring gives the property a rustic feel, in keeping with the character of the buildings.
It’s a beautiful, peaceful holiday location, for families and friends. During the summer months there is enough space to accommodate groups of up to 12+, though it’s equally delightful just with your family.
There is no wifi and very little mobile phone signal, which in this digital age is a real treat and chance to really unwind and have a proper holiday.
